Present Perfect - past action, with a result in the present

We can also use 'present perfect' for an event in the past, which has a result or consequence in the presence.

Have you done your homeowrk?
Yes,  I have (done my homework). Here it is!

Do want a sandwich?
No, thanks, I have just eaten (and so I am still full.).
